“Health and Extreme Temperatures: Adapting and responding to the effects of heat on mental and child health in Bangladesh and Senegal.” Role: Co-Investigator. Funded by: Agence Nationale de la Recherché (ANR) — In this study, we plan to co-construct, implement and evaluate a mental health intervention to cope with mental distress in the context of extreme temperatures.
HeatMind Initiative for Women: Addressing impacts of extreme temperature on mental health among women in Bangladesh.” Role: Co-Principal Investigator. Funded by: Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, France, ECO Impact Award 2024 and Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale (INSERM) — This study investigates the link between extreme temperature and mental distress using a longitudinal observational design. Following a quasi-experimental design, it also assesses the impact of a community-based mental health intervention on reducing common mental disorder among women living in urban slums of Bangladesh.
