I am a doctoral researcher at École Doctorale Pierre Louis de Santé Publique (ED393), Université Paris Cité exploring the links between extreme heat exposure and common mental disorders through a social epidemiology lens. My work focuses on uncovering pathways from heat to mental health and co-designing community-based interventions to strengthen resilience and wellbeing in vulnerable populations. This research is supported by INSERM’s Climate Health Booster program.Previously, I led research at SAJIDA Foundation, evaluating poverty alleviation programs, studying the effects of a community-bases mental health program, and assessing how supported housing improves functionality and quality of life for individuals with chronic mental health conditions. While working at BRAC JPGSPH, I led evaluations of a few interesting interventions in Bangladesh, including the thermal performance of white roofs in Dhaka slums, medical treatment loans improving healthcare access, and a UNICEF television series aimed at shifting perceptions of child marriage. Additionally, I train and lecture students and professionals on quantitative research methods and data analysis.
