Hello, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Kennesaw State University.
I completed my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Old Dominion University. My PhD dissertation was "Deep Learning Approaches for Seagrass Detection in Multispectral Imagery". Seagrasses maintain a healthy coastal ecosystem and can slow global warming. We developed a deep learning-based seagrass detection tool that can effectively detect and quantify seagrass all over the world. I also developed several deep learning-based systems for NASA, DARPA, and US Navy-funded projects. I was a Research Assistant Professor at Old Dominion University's School of Cybersecurity from 2021 to 2022.
