Join us every Friday from 2:00 PM to 2:40 PM for our weekly Jumu'ah khutbah and prayer. The sermon offers spiritual reminders, reflections on current issues, and practical guidance rooted in the Qur'an and Sunnah. Whether you're a regular attendee or a first-time visitor, all are welcome to come and benefit from the khutbah and congregational prayer.
Every Monday through Thursday after Isha prayer, our community gathers for a short halaqa focused on a hadith from Sahih Bukhari. We read the hadith in Arabic along with its English translation and commentary from reputable scholars. These sessions often spark meaningful questions and discussions that deepen our understanding of the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and strengthen our connection to the teachings of Islam.
Every Friday through Sunday after Isha prayer, members of our congregation take turns reciting from a set of five designated verses. After the recitation, we engage in a detailed discussion of the verses’ translation and tafsir, drawing on classical and contemporary scholarly insights. This gathering is a chance to reflect deeply on the Qur'an and grow together in understanding and faith.
On the last Saturday of each month, the Harlingen Muslim community comes together to share in prayer and a delicious potluck meal prepared by our brothers and sisters. It’s a joyful evening of good food, great company, and stronger community bonds. Everyone is welcome—bring a dish if you can, and come enjoy the blessings of togetherness.
