This Privacy Policy explains how Tech Seekers ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the mobile application Islamic Quiz: Quran & Hadith (package name com.techseekers.quranhadithquiz) (the "App").

By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Summary

We do not ask you to create an account.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or location.
Your quiz progress is stored only on your own device.
We show ads through Google AdMob, which collects advertising identifiers.
Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing — we never see or store your payment details.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information stored on your device only

The App saves the following on your device so that it can function. This information is never transmitted to us and we cannot access it:

Quiz scores and high scores
Coins earned
Daily streak and last play date
Number of quiz sessions and hints used per day
Sound on/off preference
Your premium subscription status

This data is stored using Android's local storage. It is removed when you uninstall the App or use the "Reset Progress" option inside the App's Settings screen.

1.2 Information collected automatically by third parties

The App uses third-party services that may collect information automatically. This includes:

Advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / AD_ID)
Device information (device model, operating system version, language, general region)
IP address
App interaction and ad interaction data (for example, whether an ad was viewed or clicked)

This information is collected by Google AdMob and Google Play Services, not directly by us. We do not receive it in a form that identifies you personally.

1.3 Purchase information

If you purchase a premium subscription or the lifetime unlock, the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made, but we do not collect, receive, or store your payment card details, billing address, or Google account credentials.

2. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes only:

To operate the App and save your progress on your device
To display advertisements, including personalized advertisements where permitted
To provide rewarded ads that grant in-app hints
To verify and restore premium purchases
To detect and fix technical problems

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Advertising

The App displays banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements supplied by Google AdMob.

Google AdMob and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized (interest-based) advertising. This may involve processing your advertising identifier and app usage data.

Your choices:

You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
You can opt out of ad personalization in the same menu.
If you purchase a premium subscription or the lifetime unlock, all advertisements are removed from the App.

4. In-App Purchases

The App offers optional paid features:

Monthly premium subscription
Yearly premium subscription
Lifetime premium (one-time purchase)

All purchases are processed by Google Play. Payment is charged to your Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions.

We do not use any analytics, crash-reporting, or social media SDKs.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at the email address below and we will take appropriate steps.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your quiz data is stored only on your device, you control it entirely:

Delete all in-app progress: open the App → Settings → Reset Progress
Delete everything: uninstall the App from your device

To reset advertising data collected by Google, use Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID.

We do not maintain any server-side database of users, so there is no account for us to delete.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (European Economic Area / UK) or the CCPA/CPRA (California), including the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to object to certain processing.

Because we do not collect or store personal information on our own servers, most of these requests relate to data held by Google. You can exercise those rights through your Google account settings and your device's advertising controls, as described above.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App. Your progress data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Significant changes may also be announced within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
