Background
We were guided by Allah to establish a school in Cancun, Quintana Roo to meet the growing needs of the Muslim community. The school will follow the national curriculum while fostering Islamic values. The concept has received support from several community members, and we are currently in the planning stages with the goal of starting the first academic year in 2024-2025.

The Islamic Academy of Cancun shall be guided by the Quran and Sunnah, following the methodology of the followers of the Sunnah and Jama’ah.

Our classes follow a modified bilingual (Spanish and English) national curriculum covering language, mathematics, science, social studies, health education, arts, and physical education. Additionally, we provide daily instruction in Islamic Studies and Arabic as a second language.

We offer preschool and primary education for children ages 4-12, covering grades 1 through 6.
Facilities
Facilities
We are currently working on securing a facility, inshallah, that will include classrooms, a boardroom, washrooms, an indoor gym, and an outdoor fenced play area for safe playing. Our plan also includes having a Mussalla with a separate entrance, open to the community for daily prayers, including Juma. We will be sharing updates and photos soon, inshallah.
