ABOUT

Isla Melysin writes high fantasy laced with wrath, ruin, and resilience. A lifelong lover of myth and morally complex heroines, she draws inspiration from ancient bloodlines, courtly betrayals, and the quiet strength of those born into impossible roles.

Her Trident Throne Trilogy merges battle-magic and siren legacy with layered worldbuilding, strategy, and a heroine who claws her way into power without ever shedding her heart. These novels have grown steadily in popularity, each becoming bestsellers.

She also writes as Nyx Naida for mythic dark romance.

Isla has a Doctorate of Nursing Education, but her true passion is storytelling— especially the kind that carves beauty from grief and strength from silence.

Isla is the owner of Spellwings Press, an independent Canadian publisher with an international author clientele and audio division. She also hosts Behind the Books Podcast, with credits on IMDb.

When not writing, she can be found haunting tidepools in British Columbia, Canada, painting and crafting, gardening, being a Dungeon Master, and curling up with her three Sphynx cats. She is a member of the Federation of BC Writers and BC Author Society.
