Islam Plus ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Islam Plus (package name: com.evernestlabs.islamplus) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application.

We collect limited information to provide, maintain, and improve the functionality of Islam Plus.
Precise and Approximate Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION):
We request location access strictly to calculate accurate Islamic prayer times (Salat), determine the Qibla direction relative to your physical location, and show localized Islamic calendar/event information.
Data Processing: Location metrics are processed locally on your device or used to fetch localized astronomical data. We do not store, track, or sell your real-time or historical location data to remote servers.
Device Identifiers & Technical Logs: Standard technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, language preference, and error/crash reports.
Camera (CAMERA): Used solely for augmented reality (AR) Qibla visual locator features or scanning functionality within the app.
Storage / Media Access: Generated Quran verse cards and daily Dua graphics are saved directly to device storage using standard system MediaStore APIs without requesting broad media reading permissions.
All user customizations—such as calculation methods (e.g., MWL, ISNA, Umm al-Qura), juristic method (Hanafi, Shafi'i), favorite reciters, bookmarks, and notification sounds—are stored locally on your device using Android DataStore and Room database.
Islam Plus utilizes third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device for advertisement and app performance purposes:
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the application. AdMob may collect and process:
Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / GAID)
IP address and general device information
Ad interaction and performance analytics

We may use mapping services (such as OpenStreetMap / osmdroid or Google Maps) to display interactive maps for Qibla direction or nearby mosques. These services process map tile requests standardly over HTTP/HTTPS.
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
Core Functionality: Calculating accurate prayer times, Qibla compass heading, Hijri date conversion, and playing Quran recitations.
Notifications & Alarms: Scheduling exact prayer time alerts and Azan notifications locally on your device.
Ad Service & Monetization: Serving non-intrusive advertisements through Google AdMob.
User Support: Responding to inquiries, feedback, or support requests sent to our contact email.
The app requests the following Android permissions to function properly:

android.permission.INTERNET – For downloading Quran recitations, map tiles, and ad rendering.
android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS & SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM – For timely Azan and prayer reminders.
android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK – For continuous audio playback of Quran recitations.
android.permission.CAMERA – For AR Qibla alignment feature.
android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED & VIBRATE – For rescheduling prayer alerts after device restarts.
Since personal preferences and bookmark data are stored locally on your device:
You can clear all app data, saved preferences, and offline downloads at any time by going to Android Settings > Apps > Islam Plus > Storage > Clear Data.
Uninstalling the application will remove all locally stored app data from your device.
Islam Plus is a general audience application intended for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or California:
You have the right to access, rectify, or erase any personal data held about you.
You may opt out of personalized advertising via your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads on Android).
