“I never really thought of myself as an artsy person, so I didn’t expect much at first... But during the workshop, I realized that I actually enjoyed making jewelry and that I might have a talent for it.”
Talk about an inspiring plot twist! Our third workshop feature is the amazing owner of MMY Fashion Accessories, and her story is proof that we all have hidden talents just waiting for a chance to shine.
Like the Proverbs 31 woman who willingly works with her hands and watches her endeavors grow, she took a simple leap of faith to try something completely new. What started as a quiet weekend hobby to keep herself busy quickly transformed as she sat at our workshop table and uncovered a creative spark she didn't know she had.
That single afternoon blossomed into a booming small business. Today, she is not only designing gorgeous, diverse jewelry pieces but has even expanded her skills to offer repair services. With her business now flooded with a steady stream of orders, she looks back on her journey with a heart overflowing with gratitude, sharing, "I’m still learning and improving."
We are so incredibly proud of how far she has come and how she continues to grow with such a humble, dedicated spirit.

She had the dream. She just needed the right room to grow in.
She already knew jewelry was one of her crafts. But she was honest enough with herself to say: "Di ko matutunan yung mga tips and styles if I just taught myself."
Our second spotlight for Crafting with Purpose reminds us that while we can do a lot on our own, we go much further when we learn together.
There is something so inspiring about a woman who knows her worth and chooses to invest in her growth!
This talented single mom knew that to build a business of excellence, she needed to master the "how" from those who’ve walked the path.
So she joined our basic jewelry-making workshop.
And what did she get from the workshop? Her answer was simple but full:
"Madami."
New ways to combine materials. Fresh styles. And something you can't find in any tutorial — connection with other business owners and brand new inspiration.
That's the thing about being in a room with other makers. You don't just learn techniques. You leave thinking bigger than when you walked in.
She came with a vision. The workshop gave her the tools, the community, and the confidence to actually build it.
That's what this is all about.
If you have a creative dream you've been sitting on — come learn it right. No experience needed. Just the willingness to show up.
From "I just want to try" to building her own designs.
One of the things that brings me the most joy as a small business owner of handmade items is seeing other women turn a simple skill into something meaningful.
Meet Zarah— our very first feature in our new Crafting with Purpose series, where we spotlight workshop alumni who turned a new skill into something more.
She joined our Basic Jewelry Making Workshop with a simple goal: learn something new and maybe find an extra source of income. "I've always loved earrings," she shared, "kaya naisip ko na magandang opportunity ito para matunan kung paano gumawa ng sarili kong designs."
What she found was more than a technique — she found confidence, creativity, and the spark to start her own small business.
Now? She's designing her own earrings and exploring unique handmade phone chains — everyday pieces made with heart. "Nakaka-inspire na gumawa ng sariling designs," she said. And honestly? We couldn't be more proud.
She didn't wait for the perfect moment. She showed up, learned, and started. That's it. That's the whole secret.
If you've ever thought "I wonder if I could do that" — you can.
This is the first story in our Workshop Stories Series, where we celebrate women who turned creativity into opportunity.
