6th Conference on
Information Systems
in Latin America
(ISLA 2022)

Virtually together, always!

Planet Earth - August 8-10, 2022

<Español>    <Português>

Information Systems in Latin America (ISLA 2022) is an ancillary conference that is part of the Americas Conference of Information Systems (AMCIS 2022). It is organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Chapter of the Association for Information Systems.

Past events: ISLA 2014, ISLA 2015, ISLA2016, ISLA2020, ISLA2021

Conference goals

The conference aims to discuss Information Systems’ role in society and, more specifically, the ways the discipline has evolved over the years, with special attention to the idiosyncrasies of IS research and practical application in Latin America. Authors are encouraged to submit papers or videos that contribute to the development of IS as a field of study and practice. Particularities of the region should be taken into account whenever they may lead to different approaches or different results to those the field has experienced elsewhere.

ISLA2022 will accept rigorous and high-quality IS/IT/MIS research in and about Latin America in Spanish, Portuguese, or English.

The call for papers is now open. Research papers are accepted in English, Spanish or Portuguese.

All accepted papers will be presented in discussion sessions and will appear in the conference e-proceedings and AIS e-Library.

The call for papers is available here: <English>, <Spanish> or <Portuguese>.

MS Word Templates are available for submissions in the three accepted languages: <English>, <Spanish> or <Portuguese>.

Submission until June 30 July 10, 2022: <here>.

We challenge you to communicate your research in a 5 minute video!

This is a great inclusive opportunity for undergraduate students to present their research projects to a larger crowd and receive some feedback.

Your video may be in any of the three languages of the ISLA Conference: English, Spanish or Portuguese. It should provide an idea of your objective, methodological procedures and obtained (or expected) results. There is no template. Be creative! But if you want to see the videos from last year, they are here.

Submissions until June 30 July 10, 2022:  <here>.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us: isla.video@lacais.org.

ISLA is a free conference for everyone. Although it is an ancillary conference to AMCIS, one does not need to register to AMCIS to attend ISLA. Register <here>.
