An intensive training program on Advanced Machine Learning: Striding towards Machine Intelligence in Diverse Industries will be held on 13-15 March 2026 and 20-22 March 2026 at ISI Chennai Centre.
This training program focuses on diverse industrial sectors, with the main objective being to enhance the participants’ knowledge in design, implementation, and evaluation of Machine Learning models tailored for industry-based applications. At the end of this program, participants are expected to gain valuable experience in certain learning strategies for fraud detection and risk modeling, deep learning architectures, and LLM applications in such industrial sectors. Varied aspects of regulatory, ethical, and interpretability challenges in the deployment of AI in distinct sectors would also be elaborated upon. The first three days (13-15 March, 2026) will focus on preliminary topics to set the stage, whereas the second three days (20-22 March, 2026) will deal with more advanced topics.
PREREQUISITES
The program will be made as complete as possible, given the short duration. To facilitate the understanding of the more advanced topics, several sessions would cover the basic concepts and some preparatory notes on relevant topics would also be circulated. However, for the best utilization of the training time, it is desirable that a participant has some basic knowledge of the following:
1. Mathematical preliminaries like linear algebra, multivariate calculus, probability
(notes will be shared on these topics).
2. Statistical methods like hypothesis testing, regression, time series analysis. (main concepts will be covered in lectures).
3. Python programming (relevant hands-on experience will be provided).
