This is the second annual conference of the Indian Society for the History of Economic Thought (ISHET). ISHET has been established to revive teaching and research in the sub-field of history of economic thought (HET) in India.
ISHET 2025 will be held at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) on 11th and 12th of October 2025.
The keynote lecture at ISHET 2025 will be delivered by Maria Cristina Marcuzzo. The lecture title is Krishna Bharadwaj’s legacy: The apologia for an objective basis of analysis in economics. Maria Cristina Marcuzzo is Honorary Professor of Political Economy at the University of Rome, “La Sapienza", Italy and Fellow and Foreign Secretary of the Italian Academy of Lincei. Former President of the European Society for the History of Economic and the Italian Society for the History of Political Economy and presently she is Distinguished Fellow and Vice-President of the History of Economics Society (USA). She has been Visiting Professor in several universities in Europe, Japan, Mexico and United States She has worked on classical monetary theory, the Cambridge School of Economics, and Keynesian economics. She has published more than 110 articles in journals and books, plus authoring or editing 25 books. Collections of her essays have been published by Routledge (Fighting market failure, 2012) and by Cambridge Scholars Publishing (Essays in Keynesian Persuasion, 2019) and Palgrave Macmillan (Economics Theories, Protagonists and Facts, 2025)
