Math 300: Mathematics Matters, Fall 2024
This course focuses on developing a deep understanding of the core of the K-5 mathematics curriculum: numbers (counting numbers, decimals and base 10, fractions) and operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). At the same time, emphasis is placed on developing skills in mathematical problem-solving and communicating mathematical ideas both orally and in writing.
Math 208: Calculus III, Fall 2024
Math 428: Principles of Operations Research, Spring 2024
Topics discussed in this course include Linear Programming, Simplex Method, Duality Theory, Game Theory, Queueing Theory, and Dynamic Programming.
Math 314: Linear Algebra, Fall 2023
This course discussed the ideas and methods of linear algebra, including using them in applications. Linear algebra is central to much of modern science and engineering because linear equations are easy to solve and because many scientific problems can be formulated in terms of them. The focus was on the foundations of the subject, which looked computational at the start but steadily became more theoretical.
Math 314: Linear Algebra, Summer 2023 (second 5-week session)
University of California, Riverside
Math 153: History of Mathematics, Spring 2023
This course was a survey from a historical point of view of various developments in mathematics, emphasizing the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The course required students to complete a major project report as well as an oral presentation on their project, a shorter chapter review, and a brief biography project.
