Drive to Azilal – stay at Atlas Day Hotel;

Visit M’goun Geopark Museum;
Ouzoud waterfalls (touristic stop);
Drive to Demnate – dinosaur tracks, rock engravings;
Stay near Demnate/Marrakech;
Day 3 (Sat 31 Jan 2026):
Drive to Agadir – tourism, visit Anza Museum, Anza tracksite if tide is low, stay in Agadir;

Day 5 (Mon 2 Feb 2026):

Stay in Imintanoute/Marrakech;

Tourism in Marrakech;

Sample bags (such as sturdy freezer bags), bring some old newspaper, maybe from the airport, to wrap fossils;
Camera or cell phone with reasonable camera;
Sunscreen, also for your lips;
Hat (shesh, i.e. head scarves, can be bought in the markets);
Sunglasses;
Light clothes, average 25°C during the day, please do not bring super-short trousers or skirts;
Warm clothes, average 5°C at night, windbreaker and rain jackets may come in handy;
1 small headlamp (it gets dark early, occasional power breakdowns);
Sturdy, but not too heavy boots. This depends on your ankles, but if you bring heavy boots, your feet might get hot. Regular running shoes get their soles eroded by the sharp-edged rock;
Bathing suit (swimming pool at several hotels);
1-2 small towels.
