Location & Arrival
All shows are held at Genet Elementary School in East Greenbush. Dancers should arrive in costume at least 20 minutes before the start of their show. Please allow extra time for parking.
Seating & Check-In
Seating is first-come, first-served (general admission) and doors open approximately 30 minutes before each show. Upon arrival, dancers should be checked in with their class usher before taking their assigned seats with their class.
Performer Seating
Dancers will sit with their class so they can enjoy the show when they’re not performing. If your dancer is in two routines, please make sure they bring their dance bag to their seat. To keep things organized, we recommend labeling all dance bags and shoes with your child’s name.
Show Length & Audience Guidelines
Each Junior Show runs approximately 60-75 minutes with no intermission.
Food and drinks are not permitted inside the auditorium but may be enjoyed in the lobby and cafeteria areas.
Junior Show Tickets will be available for pre-sale April 25
Junior Show Tickets: $12 each
Two free recital tickets per dancer are included in your registration
Tickets are general admission and include seating in the balcony and main floor.
To ensure that every dancer has the opportunity to have their loved ones watching on their big day, we've limited the number of tickets each family can buy during pre-sale. We've divided the seats equally among all dancers for each show. Families of Junior Show dancers can buy up to 6 extra tickets, and families of Senior Show dancers can buy up to 4 extra tickets during pre-sale.
April 25-May 9: Complimentary ticket pick up and limited pre-sale
Starting April 25th, the person who registered the dancer can pick up two free tickets for their assigned show from the office. Additional tickets can also be purchased during this time, with up to 6 per family for Junior Shows and up to 4 per family for Senior Shows. Families with unpaid tuition must clear their balance before getting tickets. Remember: Your free tickets must be picked up BEFORE the recital; they won't be available at the door.
May 11-May 28: Open sale of any remaining tickets
All remaining tickets will be available to purchase until sold out.
May 29, 30, 31: Limited tickets available day of shows (if not sold out)
Children age 4 and under, as well as ISD dancers who are attending a sibling’s recital, are free but must have a ticket if they are using a seat. Complimentary tickets will be issued for them and count toward your family’s ticket allotment. For example, if a family is allowed 6 total tickets, 1 may be marked as complimentary for a young sibling, and the remaining 5 will be available for purchase.
Dancers performing in the show do not need a ticket. They will have a seat assigned to them.
Ticket proceeds help to cover the cost of staffing, theater and equipment rental, recital video, insurance, and lighting/sound equipment and operators. Thank you for supporting your dancer and this special event!
