Broader Participation in Design
Welcome to ISDDE 2017!
The 13th annual conference of the International Society for Design and Development in Education, hosted by The Lawrence Hall of Science, will be held November 6-9, 2017, at the University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA. The conference theme, Broader Participation in Design, highlights the twin goals of creating educational designs that allow for broad participation, and also broadening participation within the community of educational designers.
In the tradition set by previous conferences, the meeting will be intimate and highly participatory. Attendees will enjoy plenary talks by leading educational designers, paper and poster presentations, small group work sessions on pressing problems of practice, and many meals and informal conversations over food and drink, all included in the price of registration. The conference will take place on the beautiful University of California, Berkeley campus, at both the Faculty Club and The Lawrence Hall of Science.
ISDDE was formed to help educational designers work effectively as a coherent professional design and development community. The goals of the Society are (1) improving the design and development process (2) building a design community and (3) increasing our impact on educational practice.
See the other sections of this site for details about registration and hotel and travel logistics. More details about the program and a call for participation are coming soon. Contact Suzy Loper email@example.com or Mac Cannady firstname.lastname@example.org with questions about the conference.
