Isabela School of Arts and Trades-Main (ISAT) marked its 116th founding anniversary with a day of ceremonies, celebrations, and school pride. The theme, “Celebrating Intelligence, Skills, Aptitude, and Talents at 116”, highlighted the institution's longstanding tradition of fostering well-rounded, skilled students ready for the future.
The day’s events began with a prayer led by Mrs. Maria Elisa Alvaro, setting a reverent tone for the celebration. Rev. Father Major Mel Andrey then led the program, followed by the Induction Ceremony for the newly elected Supreme Student Government (SSLG) and Supreme Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) officers, as well as leaders from various clubs and sections.
A significant moment followed as Mrs. Ivy P. Edrada sang the City of Ilagan Hymn, embodying school pride and a sense of unity. Mrs. Aimee S. Malayao, Assistant School Principal II, then welcomed everyone with her opening remarks, energizing the audience and setting the stage for the formal proceedings.
At precisely 10:30 AM, the new student and parent officers were officially sworn in by the school’s principal, Mrs. Mary Ann L. Catindig, PhD, in a ceremony that symbolized leadership, responsibility, and commitment. The celebration concluded with a powerful message from Mr. Norman T. Nicasio, who shared words of wisdom: “With great power comes great responsibility,” inspiring students and faculty alike to embrace their roles with dedication and integrity.
