GEMS of Combinatorics at the American Institute of Mathematics, March 2023.

In this AIM workshop we created and strengthen research connections between those who identify as gender minorities in combinatorics, as well as discuss gender equity in the combinatorics community.  You can find more information on the AIM website, https://aimath.org/pastworkshops/gemscombin.html.

This was a continuation of our virtual GEMS event in 2021.

If you are interested in organizing a GEMS of [insert your favorite math topic here] I am happy to chat about it!

Hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences (MiS) in Leipzig, Germany, we organized the Minicourse in Convex Geometry.  It covered the basics of convex geometry with a focus on combinatorial and algebraic structures. Optimization served as motivation.

All lectures are available here.

I was honored to serve on the program committee for the inaugural Queer and Trans Mathematicians in Combinatorics (QTMC) Conference.  A core tenet of the conference is to create a network of LGBTQA+ mathematicians and allies to provide support, mentorship and collaboration.

I co-organized this conference in honor of my advisor's 50th birthday and his many research contributions to the mathematical community in computational algebraic geometry, optimization, and algebraic statistics.
