Isabelle Rawa is a professional violinist originally from Baltimore, Maryland, who relocated to London in 2020. They attended the prestigious Baltimore School for the Arts before moving to the UK, where they completed both their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Performance at Goldsmiths, University of London. During their studies, Isabelle trained under acclaimed violinist Dr Mira Benjamin of the renowned Apartment House ensemble.
Throughout their career, Isabelle has been committed to promoting inclusivity within the music industry. Their Master's final project featured a curated hour-long recital showcasing works by women and non-binary contemporary composers, drawing attention to the underrepresentation of these voices in both classical and contemporary music programming.
Alongside their advocacy work, Isabelle has collaborated with a diverse range of recording artists, including Adam Kelly, Taj, and Miryea Meek. They have also performed with numerous ensembles, including the Marigold String Quartet and Trio, the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra, and the Orlando Orchestra, among others.
As a freelance violinist, Isabelle performs across a variety of musical settings while maintaining an active teaching practice. They currently teach with Fairplay Arts, a community music school dedicated to making high-quality music education accessible to all.
