Social Communication in Australian sea lion

Since 2005, i am working in collaboration with Rob Harcourt (Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia) and we have been investigated the recognition processes in mother-pup pairs using an uni-modal and multimodal approach (Benjamin Pitcher PhD (2007-2010, international cotutelle) & Kaja Wierucka PhD thesis (2015-2018, international cotutelle). We also studied the male vocal communication system in relation to genetic variations and geographic variations (H. Ahonen PhD, 2009-2013, international cotutelle).

Additional collaborators: Ben Pitcher (MQ Uni & Taronga Zoo, Sydney), Benoist Schaal (CESGA, Dijon), Nicolas Barthes (CEFE, Montpellier)
