My problem statement focuses on improving an individual's adherence to prescribed home-based swallowing exercises. I am focusing more on exercises that require a person to use a tool. My prototype is working up to tracking an individual's adherence to their swallow-strengthening exercises. The camera's object detection can pick up the tool's presence (in this case, a spoon); however, it struggles to follow it smoothly. With more time, I would like to dig deeper into the wiring issues I faced and include an LCD screen that will allow me to track further if an individual is consistently doing their exercises.
