Hello, I am Isaac. I have been living in Reading since moving to the UK in 2022. I recently graduated with Merit in M.A. International Development (Economics) from the University of Essex, Colchester, in 2024. During my university studies and my dissertation, I realised how data-driven insights can change the future.
This enthusiasm motivated me to seek personal development opportunities after graduation, leading me to enrol in a renowned professional analytics institution, the Institute of Analytics (IoA), through DataCamp. I have developed my existing analytical and technical skills and gained professional expertise in Python, Tableau, Pandas, Matplotlib, Google Sheets, and others.
Work Experience
I am currently working as a freelance data analyst in Reading, United Kingdom, where I have sharpened essential data analysis skills and am progressing toward becoming an advanced data scientist.
I have two years of experience as an Assistant Head of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) in Ghana, where I enhanced my skills in communication, attention to detail, negotiation, and presentation. During this time, I played a key role in improving workplace safety standards, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Journey into Data
I began my data exploration journey by enrolling in a professional analytics body, IoA, and joining DataCamp. Through DataCamp, I have completed both professional and self guided data projects, enhancing my analytical skills while gaining proficiency in tools such as Python, Tableau, Pandas, Matplotlib, Excel, and more.
With hands-on experience in problem formulation and extracting meaningful insights from data, I have developed expertise in data cleaning, data manipulation, analysis, and interactive visualisation.
Interests
I am recognised for tackling challenges with innovative solutions. Beyond my work endeavours, I have a deep passion for continuous learning and creative expression. I enjoy exploring new and trending technologies, working on open-source projects, and keeping up with industry advancements. I also have passion for art and design, love to travel, play online games, and enjoy connecting with people around the world on social media.
