We will be hosting an alignment workshop at NIWA's observatory near Lauder on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th May using our Bruker IFS 120HR instrument.
The workshop is now over subscribed, so no spaces are left unfortunately!
Any questions to John Robinson (john (dot) robinson (at) niwa.co.nz).
The workshop will be an informal opportunity to share the community's knowledge, with the emphasis on demonstrating practical methods used in the alignment process. Because of the time-consuming nature of the alignment procedure, and the wide range of experience of participants, please think of this workshop as an introduction only. Further info on the programme and supporting documents (reading material) to follow shortly.

A NIWA staff bus makes a daily journey from Alexandra to the site via Lauder. There should also be an opportunity to car share with other workshop participants who have their own hire car.
There's a wide variety of accommodation options between Lauder and Alexandra. Simply google. Here's 3 options for example:
B+B at Lauder, about 2 km away from NIWA: https://lauderschool.co.nz/
Country hotel in Omakau, a small town about 12km away from NIWA: https://omakauhotel.co.nz/
A nice motel in Alexandra, about 30mins drive: http://avenue-motel.co.nz/
For those attending the site visit to Lauder on Friday 24th May, there will be a drop-off in Alexandra on the return journey. For those wishing to stay in Wanaka over the weekend, Alexandra is a one hour drive.
