1. How can I participate?

You can drop off your gift wrapped presents with our volunteers. We will then send the gifts to worksites and dorms . Window for drop-offs opens November 24, 2020.

2. Who are the gifts for?

The gifts are for the wonderful migrant workers of Singapore, who build and maintain and keep Singapore clean & beautiful. They are all men, so please ensure to buy gifts accordingly.

3. Do we need to gift wrap our presents?

We prefer that the gifts come wrapped or looking festive, so we can pass on the Christmas cheer to the workers.

4. What type of gift wrapping is ok?

You can use any type of wrapping. Shiny wrappers, brown paper and bows, or even newspapers that can be made to look festive. We encourage eco-friendly and sustainable material. Please ensure to label (a small post-it or handwritten note in the corner is fine), so we are able to identify what we are handing out.

5. Can I volunteer to participate in the distribution?

This year is a bit different. Given current health and safety requirements, we are not going to be hosting our festive Christmas distributions at worksites and dorms. We will only be delivering the gifts to the sites, for them to distribute internally and send us photos.

6. Can we give pre-loved items?

New items only please. We do used stuff collection other times of the year but this is Christmas giving, so we are gifting new presents.

7. What items are required?

Items listed on our main page are the ones that are most desired and used by the workers. They do not have a lot of storage space, so larger items may not be useful for them.

8. Are there any minimums?

There are no minimum quantities or dollar values. You can donate what you wish, as is convenient for you. We are trying to get a gift for each of the 750,000 workers in Singapore, so please keep in mind to wrap gifts individually when you send them over.

9. I am out of town or otherwise not able to buy and donate gifts. Can I make a cash donation instead?

You can order online from Amazon or Decathalon and have the items sent to one of our addresses. If not, you may also wish to donate to the You may also choose to donate to the Ray of Hope campaign.

The funds are used to purchase essential items like meals, groceries, and utility purchases (hair trimmers, cookers, phones, data topups, etc) for migrant workers as identified by ItsRainingRaincoats.
