2019 Deepavali Drive
As the Deepavali festive season draws near, you might get busy shopping, partying and celebrating - but please spare a thought for the more than half a million migrant workers in Singapore who have far less to celebrate nor the means to celebrate with. What they appreciate during this time is the chance to speak with their families and food to celebrate with their migrant friends; a way vicariously engage in the festive spirit - a $10 card goes a long way for them.
Whether or not you celebrate Deepavali , we hope you can find it in you to make a small contribution to brighten the lives of these workers during the Festival of Lights.
Here's how you can contribute to make Diwali festive for our migrant worker brothers:
Data Top -Up Cards
You can buy data top-up cards directly and distribute yourselves or mail OR deliver to our volunteers.
Data cards can be bought at any local shop or 7-11, and any brand (Singtel, Starhub, M1, etc) will do.
Alternatively you can contribute to us and we can buy on your behalf.
Vegetarian Pizzas
On Oct 19, we plan to do a drive by distributing food to the workers around 11am.
You can either order a pizza to be delivered to our address before 11 am or contribute for us to order on your behalf.
Volunteers are welcome to assist with distributions, volunteers with cars particularly welcome.
We are grateful to Pizza Hut who are also sponsoring pizzas for this event. If you plan to have pizzas delivered to us, please support them by placing the order with Pizza Hut

On Oct 19, we plan to do a drive by distributing food to the workers around 11am.

Volunteering:
We will be requiring a lot of volunteers for the drives. Please whatsapp Ruchi on 9146 9725 to register your interest and for inquiries. Volunteers who can participate with their cars for drive-by's are particularly required.
