Prof. Jiaoyang Li
Assistant Professor, Carnegie Mellon University, USA
Jiaoyang’s research focuses on large-scale multi-robot planning and coordination. She has developed many Multi-Agent Path Finding (MAPF) algorithms and techniques for extending MAPF to various robotic systems, such as mobile robots and robotic arms. Her work has been recognized with several paper awards, such as ICRA’25 best student paper and ICAPS’24 best student paper.
Yulun Zhang
PhD Student, Carnegie Mellon University, USA
Yulun’s research focuses on environment optimization for large-scale multi-robot systems, including layout optimization and guidance graph optimization. Layout optimization focuses on optimizing the physical allocation of shelves to maximize system throughput, while guidance graph optimization focuses on optimizing traffic flows. His work was published in top conferences such as IJCAI, AAAI, and NeurIPS.
Dr. Keisuke Okumura
Researcher, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan
Keisuke’s research focuses on intelligent collective behavior of swarm agents, particularly the development of multi-agent planning methods tailored to large-scale automation. His honors include the ICAPS’22 best student paper and Tokyo Tech’s dissertation award (2024). Keisuke received his Ph.D. degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2023.
Dr. Jingkai Chen
Director, Routing, Symbotic, USA
Jingkai’s research interests are primarily in the areas of robotics, AI planning, and multi-agent systems with applications in interconnected robotic systems for manufacturing, logistics, and field operations. Jingkai led a group of engineers and scientists to develop a novel multi-robot routing system and deployed it to over 30 large-scale warehouses and 20,000 mobile robots. Jingkai received his Ph.D. degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2022.
Dr. Han Zhang
Principal Robotics Engineer, Symbotic, USA
Han's research focuses on applying heuristic search techniques to challenging problems, including the multi-agent path-finding problem and the multi-objective search problem. His work was published in conferences such as ICAPS, SoCS, and AAMAS. Han received his Ph.D. degree from University of Southern California in 2024.
Prof. Sven Koenig
Chancellor's Professor and Bren Chair, University of California, Irvine, USA
Sven’s research focuses on decision-making techniques that enable single situated agents (such as robots) and teams of agents to act intelligently within their environments. His research on Multi-Agent Path Finding started in 2014. He runs the MAPF website https://mapf.info/ and is an IEEE, ACM, AAAI, and AAAS fellow.
