Hi, I’m Shannon—a run and nutrition coach who knows what it’s like to start from scratch, struggle with consistency, and finally fall in love with running.
I started running in 2011 to lose weight and keep up with my Marine husband. That fall, we ran our first half marathon together. For years after, I ran off and on—usually when I felt I “needed to lose weight”—but it never truly stuck.
In 2018, things changed. I ran three half marathons in two months, and then a friend convinced me to enter the Chicago Marathon lottery. I got in. That race made me fall in love with long-distance running—the challenge, the strategy, and especially the mental side of pushing beyond your limits.
By 2021, I committed fully to the sport. I mastered the mental game, pushed myself to run nonstop for a 5K, then a 10K, and eventually a full marathon. After that, I dove deep into the science of running—understanding training cycles, biomechanics, nutrition, and recovery—and earned my coaching certification.
Now, my mission is to help other runners find their breakthrough moments. Through personalized training plans, nutritional and recovery guidance, and mindset coaching, I help athletes of all levels train with purpose, build confidence, and achieve their goals.
