I definitely loved being able to experience and learn from this process. Focusing on a long term project can always turn out to be difficult, but I've learned that the end result wil be worth it.
I have really enjoyed getting to solve a problem that I feel so strongly about. It's been cool being able to apply the skills I've learned through Tesla to this final project.
I enjoyed being able to have a larger project that I chose to work on this year. Having gone through the engineering process so many times, it was really rewarding to apply it to something I wanted to do.
Working through the engineering process was an excellent way of seeing how engineers work in their everyday lives. I liked seeing that sneak-peek of the future and learning how to work within a talented group.
I've always struggled to express my ideas and thoughts, so given the opportunity to be part of an awesome group and playing a role in the process for our design really helped me push myself out of my comfort zone.
I feel like I was able to get sense of what it's like to work in a group that has a specific and professional goal. My role allowed me to try out new things and get s chance to improve on the skills I already had.
I really enjoyed my role on the team. It was good to work on the parts of the project that I was interested in while growing the skills I had gained throughout my years in Tesla that'll help me in my future.
I was really comfortable with my role in the group, being the project manager. I really felt that I grew as a leader and a teammate throughout the year and found that I really like this role; it could possibly be a future career.
I do believe we overspent too much time on certain areas in the engineering process including defining our problem and visibility testing.
I think we have been a very focused and determined group, but we got hung up on the "choosing a problem" part for a little too long.
I would change how we planned out our time. It seemed like we underestimated how much time some of the smaller things would take which led to us having less time to work on the more important parts of the project.
I would change how much time we spent on certain things like brainstorming or conducting our own testing; we may have been able to get a little further before COVID if we pushed ourselves a bit more.
Although I've never had to work this long in a group before, I'm glad I got the chance to. This class has taught me so much patience. determination, and has strengthen me as a group member.
This class has been fun, productive and an adventure. We sure had our challenges, but I'm glad I had such a great group of gals to work through them with.
I'm really glad to have had this experience, it really taught me a lot about working in a team. I wish that we had had more time to work, but that was out of our control. I learned a lot and had fun which is all that really matters.
At first I thought this whole project was going to be overwhelming, but our group worked so well together and everyone carried each other though it. I loved working with this group! I felt that everyone did their part and we came together to create a product that we can be proud of. It was one of my favorite classes this year, for SURE.
