IRL is provided by Anshina Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales.

This policy explains what personal data IRL collects, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights.
Depending on how you use the app, we may process:
Account data: email address, display name, and authentication identifiers (via Google or Firebase Authentication).
App activity & device data: crash logs and diagnostic information that help us identify and fix technical issues.
Optional in-app data: any profile information you choose to add (e.g., your display name or hint to help others identify you).
Contacts or identifiers: if you opt in to discovery or matching features, we may compute hashed identifiers (e.g., SHA-256 hashes of phone numbers or emails) to help identify potential matches. We never upload or share raw contacts.
We do not collect location data, track usage analytics, or sell personal data.
We process the data described above to:
Provide and maintain core IRL functionality (e.g., authentication, matching, and messaging).
Debug and improve reliability and security of the app.
Communicate important service updates or account-related notifications.
We process your data based on:
Contract – to provide you with the IRL service you requested.
Legitimate interests – to operate, secure, and improve our app.
Consent – for optional features where you explicitly opt in.
We use trusted processors solely to operate IRL:
Google Firebase – for Authentication, Firestore (database), Cloud Functions, and Crashlytics.
These services may process data in the UK, EEA, or other regions with appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share personal data with third parties.
Account data is stored while your account remains active.
You may delete your account at any time to remove associated data.
Crash logs and technical data are automatically deleted within normal operational retention limits (typically up to 90 days).
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access, correct, or delete your data.
Restrict or object to certain processing.
Request data portability.

You can withdraw permissions (e.g., contacts access) in your device settings at any time.
IRL is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from anyone under 18.
If we become aware that we have inadvertently received data from a user under 18, we will delete it promptly.
By using the app, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.
While we take all reasonable steps, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
We may update this policy periodically. The most recent version will always be published at the same URL, with an updated “Last updated” date.
