Privacy Policy for IRIS Whiz

This Privacy Policy describes how the IRIS Whiz browser extension ("the Extension") handles your data. Our core privacy principle is simple: we do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your personal data.
1. Information We Store Locally
To work, the Extension stores your intersystems Instances and Namespaces.
To improve your user experience, the Extension remembers your recent search history on the message viewer page (specifically, it stores your last 10 extended search criteria) and your Extension preferences from the options page.
2. Where Your Data is Stored
This search data is saved entirely locally on your own machine within your browser’s local storage.
3. Data Access and Sharing
No Developer Access: The developer of this Extension does not have any access to your search criteria or any other data generated by your use of the Extension.
No Third-Party Sharing: Your local data is never transmitted to our servers, shared with third parties, sold, or used for tracking purposes. It never leaves your device.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Instances, namespaces and preferences are stored until you remove them.
For the message search page the Extension uses a rolling storage method. It only keeps the 10 most recent searches. When you perform a new search on the message viewer page, the oldest search criteria is automatically overwritten and permanently deleted from your local storage.
You can manually clear this data at any time by clicking the red X icon on the Extended Criteria Search History page (accessed by clicking the Search History button on the message viewer page), clearing your browser’s local extension data or uninstalling the Extension.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Because we do not collect your contact information, we encourage you to review this policy periodically.
