Iris Golgoțiu is a romanian illustrator and comic book author settled in Cluj-Napoca. She loves bringing stories to life through unapologetic artworks addressing feminism, queer identity and sexuality.

Her work explores a variety of topics, with a strong interest in the human body, mental health and the impact art can have on a person's life.

She is part of the comic book collection Slices of You(th), published by Signatura Publishing House and the zine anthology Fan[te]zine, developed with the support of the German Cultural Center in Cluj-Napoca and the Illustrart Association.

She was awarded 1st place in the “Back to the Future” comic book competition organized by Antalis Romania (2025) and 3rd place in the “Generația Biodiversitate” competition held by the French Institute in Romania (2021).

In her illustration practice, she has collaborated with Fundația Calea Victoriei, Snoop, Școala9 and Mental Health Romania.

She speaks Romanian, English and a bit of French.
