Art Works

For this piece I tired to go for a above preceptive and decided to used more daring colors together to make the subject stand out more. You may notice for sketching the details (top right picture) I use different colors to help differentiate sections of the sketch.

In this piece I decided to have a greyscale color palette to help challenge me with values. However, I used a different technique for this artwork. In which I layered the colors together on a singular layer instead of separate layers.

In this artwork I wanted to do a dramatic pose. So I thought why not a use a aerial hoop and wanted to have their clothes give a sense of class. I wanted the piece to have people thinking that the person in the artwork is above others and that they are the star. Hence why I make the subject look like they are floating and looking away.

While for watercolor I would sketch and then transfer it onto the paper. Then would hand mix my colors and placing it on the dry paper. However, for this piece I had use a marker to color in the background.

In this piece I had to redraw the sketch and upscale it to transfer it onto the watercolor paper. Once again I had to hand mix my colors and decided to stipple to help show depth in the artwork.

Hard Pastels is a medium I have never worked with before til recently. It took me a while how to work with the medium but became happy with the results based on how much experience I had with it.

For both pieces of artwork I couldn't really start off with a sketch. So I decided to just go for it and to trust the process.Â
