Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation makes train journeys even more amusing with its online food delivery facility. E-catering is a platform through which passengers can enjoy online food delivery on train. It allows passengers to choose food from more than 500 restaurants like Dominos, Zoop, Comesum that have partnered with Indian Railways to make passenger’s food eating experience indelible.

How to Order Food Online for Train Delivery?

The process to order delicious food online and get it delivered on your train berth/seat is simple. You have to access either

1. E-catering website
2. E-catering mobile application (Food on Track) available for Android and IOS.

The next step is that you will have to enter your PNR number (Passenger Name Record). After that, you will be provided a list of restaurants available to choose from. You can choose from mouth-watering meals of your choice and preference and place an order. Once the order is placed, you will have to choose the mode of payment. E-catering allows passengers to pay from a wide range of options including online wallet, BHIM/UPI, net banking making the payment process even more convenient. IRCTC also allows passengers to pay with cash for food ordered from e-catering. You will receive food on your seat at the selected station.

What If You are Not Able to Access E-catering Online?

In case you are not able to access the e-catering service online then there’s a third option available for food delivery in running train. You can simply make a call on ‘1323’ to directly speak to e-catering executive. You can proceed with your food ordering request after providing them your PNR. Once the PNR is verified by the executive, you will be provided the details of food restaurants and meals available on your route. Select the meal of your choice and delivery station to confirm the booking.

Upon successful ordering of food, you will receive a confirmation email and SMS with OTP (One Time Password). The food delivery agent will confirm the OTP at the time of delivery. Enjoy sumptuous meals on board and treat your loved ones with delicacies.
