About
The first ever IRCA conference on Aphantasia is a 3-day event seeking to bring together experts from a variety of fields including psychology, neuroscience, and philosophy to discuss, collaborate and expand our understanding of aphantasia. This conference is organised by Dr Andrea Blomkvist (University of Glasgow), Dr Jianghao Liu (Collège de France), and Christian O . Scholz (Ruhr-Universität Bochum) and will take place in Glasgow, Scotland between the 2nd and 4th September, 2026.
Our speakers
We are honoured to present five speakers, all of whom are leaders in aphantasia research, who over the course of this conference will provide talks and provide forums to discuss their research:
