IRCA the Interdisciplinary Reading Club of Aphantasia (https://jianghao-liu.github.io/irca/) was co-founded by Dr. Jianghao Liu and Christian O. Scholz in 2024 in order to bring together researchers from many different fields, at a various career stages, to collaborate and share ideas related to aphantasia. Hosting monthly online meetings neuroscientists, psychologists, and philosophers share their research, discuss methodologies, and explore new ways of developing aphantasia research.
With Dr. Andrea Blomkvist, a member of IRCA, and a researcher in aphantasia, hosting this event at the University of Glasgow, the IRCA group hopes to begin a tradition of collaboration and connection through this conference to enhance aphantasia research through the joining of researchers in a variety of disciplines and at a range of career stages.
