The 2025 IRAAL conference, hosted by the Centre for Language and Communication Studies (CLCS) and the Language Use and Multilingualism in Education Research Group (LUMIERE), at Trinity College Dublin celebrates 50 years of the Irish Association for Applied Linguistics. Under the theme “Linguistics in Ireland: Reflecting on the past, looking to the future,” the event brings together scholars and practitioners to explore the rich history and future directions of Applied Linguistics in Ireland and beyond.
