The application is delivered completely content-free.
All media streams, playlists, EPG sources, and Xtream Codes credentials loaded into the application are 100% user-supplied.
You (the user) are solely and exclusively responsible for the content you import, verify, and stream through this application, as well as ensuring that you hold all necessary legal rights, authorizations, and licenses from the respective copyright holders.

This Privacy Policy explains how [Your Name / Company / Developer Name] ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you install, access, or use the mobile application IPTV Player (the "Application" or "App").
We believe that your media consumption habits and playlist credentials belong solely to you. We are dedicated to maintaining a privacy-first architecture where the application functions autonomously on your client device without transmitting your playlists, browsing activity, or viewing history to any proprietary servers.
For the purpose of applicable data protection legislation (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA)), we act as the data controller regarding any minimal support communications you voluntarily initiate with us.
IPTV Player operates under a Local-First, Client-Side Architecture:
On-Device Database: All imported playlist metadata, category groupings, favorite channel tags, custom channel orderings, and playback history are stored exclusively in the Application's local Room database on your device.
Hardware-Backed Credential Encryption: If you connect via an Xtream Codes API, your server login credentials (username, password, server URL) are encrypted locally using AES-256-GCM via Android Jetpack Security (EncryptedSharedPreferences).
Cryptographic PIN Protection: If you lock specific playlists with a passcode/PIN, the passcode is never stored in plaintext. It is hashed using salted SHA-256 cryptographic hashing.
Zero Centralized Media Logs: We do not operate proxy servers, relay endpoints, or telemetry servers that inspect, log, or store your streaming traffic.
Playlist Data: M3U/M3U8 URLs, local playlist files, channel names, stream URLs, EPG/XMLTV guide URLs, channel logos, and category labels that you configure.
User Preferences: Preferred playback aspect ratios, audio track selections, subtitle options, favorite channels, custom playlist colors/icons, and interface language choices.
Playback State & History: Local timestamps of recently watched channels and resume points to allow resuming playback.
When you voluntarily send support inquiries, bug reports, or feedback via email, we receive the details you choose to share (such as your email address, message body, device model, Android OS version, and optional log excerpts). This information is used strictly to troubleshoot issues, communicate with you, and improve the Application's stability.
To provide total clarity, IPTV Player does NOT:
Require you to register an account, log in, or provide personal details (name, phone number, address) to use the App.
Intercept, mirror, or upload your media streams or playlist content to our servers.
Track your real-time GPS location.
Access your device contacts, photo gallery, microphone, camera, or SMS messages.
Sell, rent, lease, or monetize any of your personal data or viewing habits to third parties.
IPTV Player requests only the standard Android system permissions strictly essential for core media player operation:
Permission
Technical Requirement & Justification
android.permission.INTERNET
Essential. Required to download remote M3U/M3U8 playlists, fetch XMLTV/EPG program guides, load channel logos, and connect directly to user-specified media stream URLs.
android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Essential. Used locally by the player engine and synchronization workers to detect active network connectivity (Wi-Fi vs. Mobile Data) and handle network transitions gracefully without crashing.
android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE
Playback Continuity. Enables AndroidX Media3 (MediaSessionService) to maintain background audio playback and Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode without interruption by the OS lifecycle manager.
android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK
Android 14+ Requirement. Declares the specific foreground service category for continuous media streaming compliant with modern Android platform policies.
android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Android 13+ Notification Controls. Displays the interactive media playback notification (Play, Pause, Next, Previous, Channel Title, and Artwork) in the system notification shade and lock screen.
When you stream media, download an M3U playlist, or sync EPG data:
The Application initiates a direct network connection from your device to the remote endpoint or server URL specified in your playlist.
The network connection does not pass through any proxy or relay server operated by us.
The remote server operator (your IPTV provider, content host, or CDN) may receive your standard HTTP request data, including your public IP address, User-Agent header, and request timestamp as part of standard internet protocol communication.
We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the logging practices, privacy standards, or terms of service of third-party streaming providers you choose to connect with.
For users located within the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, we process data under the following legal bases pursuant to Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation:
Contractual Necessity / Performance of a Request: To execute core application functions that you explicitly trigger (e.g., parsing an M3U file, streaming an audio/video feed, or restoring local app state).
Legitimate Interests: To diagnose critical playback errors, ensure application security, investigate voluntary support requests, and defend against fraudulent or unlawful activity.
Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable statutory laws, binding court orders, or governmental regulations when legally required.
Right to Access & Portability: Request confirmation of whether your data is processed and obtain a copy.
Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate information.
Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request deletion of data (note: all playlist and viewing data can be deleted directly within the app at any time).
Right to Restriction & Objection: Restrict or object to certain processing activities.
Right to Lodge a Complaint: Lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Supervisory Authority.
No Sale or Sharing of Personal Information: We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration, nor do we share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Right to Know & Delete: California consumers have the right to request deletion of personal information held by a business. Because our app stores playlist data locally, deleting the app or clearing storage fulfills this immediately.
Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA/CPRA privacy rights.
We implement industry-standard technical measures to protect your information:
Android Sandboxing: All local database records and cache files reside within the protected Android application sandbox, isolated from other installed apps.
Encrypted Storage: Cryptographic protection (AES-256-GCM) is applied to stored account credentials.
Enforced TLS: Secure HTTPS/TLS communication is enforced whenever connecting to secure endpoints.
Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over its retention:
In-App Deletion: You can delete individual playlists, remove favorite channels, or clear your entire playback history directly from the in-app Settings menu.
Clear Application Storage: Navigate to Device Settings → Apps → IPTV Player → Storage → Clear Data / Clear Storage to immediately purge all local databases, cached logos, and encrypted credentials.
Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling IPTV Player completely removes all local files, databases, and application data created by the app.
IPTV Player is a general-audience technical media player application.
It is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain European jurisdictions).
We do not knowingly collect, request, or maintain personal information from children.
If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information (for example, via a support email), please contact us immediately at the email address below, and we will promptly delete that information from our records.
Current Status: The current release of the Application does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs (e.g., AdMob) or behavioral tracking SDKs.
Future Enhancements: If future versions introduce optional features such as in-app subscription billing (Google Play Billing) or privacy-compliant anonymous crash diagnostics (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics), this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly, and transparent consent mechanisms (such as Google User Messaging Platform / IAB TCF dialogs where legally mandated) will be presented.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements in application features, legal standards, or regulatory guidelines.
When changes occur, the "Last Updated" and "Effective Date" at the top of this document will be updated.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of the revised policy.
If you have any questions, concerns, feedback, or data-subject requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, please contact us at:
