Welcome to my webpage!

I am a Doctoral Student of Economics at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai, India, affiliated with the Reserve Bank of India. With a master's degree in economics from IGIDR and a bachelor's degree from Scottish Church College, University of Calcutta, I have a strong academic background in economics.

My primary research interests lie in the areas of corporate finance, banking, and applied microeconomics. I am currently working on my Ph.D. thesis, which focuses on the impact of mergers and acquisitions on the Indian banking system. I am also exploring the causal relationship between risk and the efficiency of banks. In addition, I have a keen interest in macro-finance and monetary policy.

Through my research, I aim to contribute to the development of a deeper understanding of the Indian banking system and its impact on the broader economy. I am passionate about using rigorous empirical methods to study complex economic phenomena and draw meaningful conclusions.
