The Institute of Public Relations Malaysia (IPRM) has set up a student chapter in an attempt to ensure collaboration and cooperation among students of public relations to enhance, representing the student divisions of IPRM, is known as the Institute of Public Relations Malaysia Student Association (IPRMSA) was established on 4th September 1999.
The IPRMSA National Chapter consists of independent local chapters set up at different universities and college for students of public relations and communications. The IPRMSA National Chapters serve as a reference point for the local chapters. While the independent local chapters plan and run their own activities, the national chapter will provide guidance and act as a coordinator to the local chapters.
Institute of Public Relations Malaysia Student Association – USM Chapter has been found in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) as an independent local chapter. Its establishment is in tandem with both the objectives of USM and IPRMSA. The IPRMSA – USM Chapter provides memberships to USM students of persuasive communications and those who have keen interest in public relations.
