Dr. Hemanta Mukherjee has over thirty years of diverse worldwide experience in production enhancement of oil and gas wells integrated with overall reservoir management. During this period Dr. Mukherjee has worked for the Oil and Natural Gas Commission (O.N.G.C) of India, Gulf Science and Technology Company in Harmarville, PA (later integrated into ChevronTexaco) and in various product lines of Schlumberger Oilfield Services. He retired from Schlumberger in early 2005 after working for 24 years with the company. He has worked in many fields in Alaska (e.g. Prudhoe Bay and Kuparuk, etc.), the Gulf Coast of the USA, low-permeability gas reservoirs in the Rocky Mountain Area, coal bed methane (CBM) in the San Juan Basin of New Mexico as well as new and matured reservoirs in California, Russia and CIS countries, West Africa specially in Angola, Gabon, Congo, S. Africa, North Sea, Vietnam and India.
Dr. Mukherjee has extensive experience with field applications of hydraulic fracture design, evaluation, and troubleshooting. He has a number of publications in these areas, with significant contributions to fracturing fissured or naturally fractured reservoirs with pressure dependent leakoff.
Dr. Mukherjee has also developed proprietary software on multiphase flow in pipes, wellbore hydraulics and well management in reservoir simulator and Production Systems Analysis for flowing and gas lift wells. His experience is extensively documented in his publications.
