So I have been a member of the Iphone Upgrade Program since it began. But this year when doing the verification for the Iphone 12 it is telling me I am not enrolled, and of course to sign up. I have chatted with apple twice. The first time the agent said there was nothing apple could do and i was directed to Citizens One who handles the financing for Apple. I have done so, and the rep with Citizens One was able to verify my enrollment, which they stated that they get their info from apple according to the rep. The second time the apple specialist I chatted with said he could see in the system that I was enrolled and maybe it was just a system error that would correct itself. Lastly, I called apple, at first was told to contact Citizens One again, after explaining I already had, i was finally placed through to sales. The rep in sales told me I was enrolled in a monthly plan but not the Iphone Upgrade Program, she even sent me an invoice that looked like one they would have sent to Citizens One. Luckily I still had my email from when I ordered the phone which clearly showed it was part of the Upgrade Program which i forwarded to the apple rep. At this point the rep did not know what to do, and said she had never seen this issue before and would escalate it to the upgrade team. Anyone have any experience with this or know what if any other options I may have. I joined the program to be able to upgrade, but if I can't upgrade then i'm just stuck with the same phone for another year. Not the end of the world I know, but it's the point now. I know what i signed up for and shouldn't be denied now because of an error. Any help or advise would be appreciated. Also, my girlfriend is having the same issue with her phone, and being told she is not enrolled either when i know she also signed up for the upgrade program when she bought her last phone. So maybe this a wider issue then just an isolated incident.

Do you have any proof like emails or receipts? That was the only way I was able to get the rep to escalate my problem. Otherwise she kept telling me I purchased the phone through their monthly plan but not the upgrade problem. Idk why anyone would do that after being on the upgrade program for years. But after I provided the emails showing it was through the upgrade program they supposedly escalated it the upgrade team. Still waiting to hear back from them so we will see.

Apple sweetens the deal by including its AppleCare Plus coverage at a slight discount with the iPhone Upgrade Program. AppleCare Plus is the company's insurance and extended warranty program that would otherwise cost $8 a month for the iPhone 15, $9 a month for the iPhone15 Plus, or $10 a month for the iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max. With the Apple Upgrade Program, you pay $6.21 a month for AppleCare Plus on the iPhone 15.

Note that the iPhone Upgrade program isn't the same as Apple's Trade In program. While you are exchanging your old iPhone for a newer model in both programs, with the iPhone Trade In program you are simply trading in an old device for a discount on a newer one.

If you're a part of the iPhone Upgrade program, you're discouraged from participating in the Trade In program, since you don't outright own your device in the iPhone Upgrade program. If you do use the Trade In program, you'll be on the hook for the balance of both the phone you were trading in and the new phone.

Hearing aids that are part of the Made for iPhone program can be controlled from an iPhone. These hearing aids also feature Live Listen, which enables the iPhone to act as a directional microphone, beaming its audio to compatible hearing aids.[105] Live Listen can help the user hear a conversation in a noisy room or hear someone speaking across the room.[106] Apple built Live Listen support into all AirPods, which can also relay audio from a connected iPhone's microphone. Closed captioning and external TTY devices are supported, while Live Caption can transcribe audio across all apps and display it onscreen. Sound Recognition can recognize surrounding noises, including door bells, kettles, water running, and babies crying, and notify the user with an onscreen alert.[104]

Since 2013, iPhone buyers can obtain a trade-in discount when buying a new iPhone directly from Apple. The program aims to increase the number of customers who purchase iPhones at Apple Stores rather than carrier stores.[120] In 2015, Apple unveiled the iPhone Upgrade Program, a 24-month leasing agreement, which Fortune described as a "change [in] iPhone owners' relationships with mobile carriers".[121]

In 2022, Apple rolled out a self-service repair program, allowing any user to buy parts, rent repair tools from Apple, and obtain repair manuals. The program received a degree of praise by iFixit and repair advocates, who also critically noted that Apple maintains control over the parts supply.[133][134]

Anki is a program which makes remembering things easy. Because it's a lot more efficient than traditional study methods, you can either greatly decrease your time spent studying, or greatly increase the amount you learn.

The Redlands Police Department (RPD) will develop a program to turn the iPhone into a tool capable of managing spatial and non-spatial data, conducting mobile crime mapping and analysis, and facilitating communication between officers. This will require creating a program that utilizes the enhanced multimedia capabilities of the iPhone to address the intelligence needs of law enforcement officers. This project will be carried out and managed by the RPD and is divided into four phases over two years:

1. The needs assessment phase will evaluate the data and analytic tools needed by RPD officers. This phase will determine the type of data officers need to access and what format provides officers with the most actionable information. Officers will be surveyed, interviewed, and convened for focus groups. This effort will be conducted in concert with the Center for Evidence Based Crime Policy (CEBCP) at George Mason University to ensure that the scientific integrity of the data are maintained and to ensure that officers participate voluntarily.

2. The needs assessment will be used to inform the iPhone software development. The software development will be handled by The Omega Group, an industry leader in providing mapping and analytic capabilities to law enforcement agencies.

3. The software will be installed on iPhones issued to the officers. Officers will be trained on using features of the software.

4. An implementation assessment will be conducted to assess how officers used the device, how their behaviors changed after using the software, and additional features that may be desirable. A randomized cross-over experimental design will be utilized. Officers will be divided into two groups. One group will receive the software for the first five months of the assessment phase and then have the software removed from their devices for the second five months. The second group will not have the software for the first five months and then will receive the software during the second five month period. This randomized cross-over design provides robust evaluation results. Officers will again be surveyed, interviewed, and convened for focus groups. These research efforts will be undertaken with the assistance the CEBCP.

What I want to know is how is the provisioning profile is created so that a specific device is allowed to use the app? Is this done by adding device UDIDs into the profile as per the standard developer program? Or some other means?

At some point this fall, Apple will unveil a new smart phone, possibly called the iPhone 5S. In the meantime, it has a lot of iPhone 5 stock it would like to unload. A trade-in program would help reinvigorate iPhone 5 sales.
