I backup from an older version. Now that I moved from a different iPhone it needs to be updated before restoring. When I updated my iTunes to the latest version, my files cannot be restored. Contacts and memos are here but no photos and apps. How can I restore it?

My app is working as expected in the simulator on iOS 12.1, but not on my iOS 11.x device, and it is just a layout issue. I'm not aware of any major changes in layout constraints from 11 to 12, so I'm perplexed... I upgraded an older device from iOS 10 to 12 and my app layout works on it, so it seems something changed between iOS 11 and 12 regarding layout, but I don't know what that is...

How can I get a simulator running iOS 11.x to debug? I'll start debugging on my actual 11.x device, but I would also like to know how to get a simulator running older iOS versions? xcodebuild -showsdks says I only have 12.1 iphone/simulator 12.1 -- how do I run 11.x in the simulator, or older iOS versions in general in the simulator?

Same as guy above, XCode 15 and it only lists 17.0 in the simulator. If I look inside the xcode folders it lists lots of other ios versions, interestingly it doesn't actually list 17, just 8->16.4. How is it this fiddly and wierd to just get a simulator for different versions of ios!? I followed a few guides of downloading other versions of the simulators from github and something else with some commands, don't seem to make any diff, I don't see anything other than ios 17.0.

If your watch app is independent, I think when the iOS app updates to the latest version, Series 1 and 2 users will keep the older version of the watch app because there's no requirement that the watchOS and iOS app versions stay in sync. (I'm not sure whether this requires that an older version of your app be on offer in the App Store, or whether the watch will just stand pat.) If your watch app is dependent on your iOS app, the two must update in sync, so the watchOS app will be deleted from the paired watch when the minOS increases to 8. This latter scenario I am sure of.

It seems that it is possible to download an older version but only for the situation where the user is running an old version of iOS. Is it also possible to do the same when the user is running an old version of watchOS? For example if they try to install the watch app from the App Store on the watch?

If the watch can update to the latest OS, it will when the phone updates (it's really difficult to keep a watch that can update to the latest OS on an older OS if it's paired with a phone that's already updated).

I have a 5th gen iPod that I have used Pandora on since day one. Lately, I've started having issues with Pandora suddenlink stopping and having to be restarted and sometimes the iPod itself had to he restarted. I have deleted the app and reinstalled with no change. I uninstalled the app last night and went to reinstall and I get an error message saying Pandora Music is not compatible with this iPod. I don't understand this issue. Someone please help!

I want to put pandora on my itouch 4th gen (8G) but the app store says the most recent version is incompatible and no abilty to get an older version like the version running on my older itouch 2nd gen- which still works.

Unfortunately, previous versions of the Pandora app are not available to download.

If you are running a version older than iOS 11, you will need to update your device's operating system (OS). Please refer to this article on how to do that

Otherwise, I'm afraid you won't be able to download the current version of the Pandora app on that device.

Hi Adam. I have an older iPod (5th gen) and the iOS is 9.3.5 which is the newest version it will run. Pandora stopped working with the last update and since I can't update my iOS I was wondering if there is a way to download the older version of Pandora that always worked fine. I'm not particularly tech savvy so please take that into account if you reply. Lastly, I'm not even sure how I got into this "community" site so if you can reply via email I'd really appreciate it.

If you'd like to see the ability to download older / previous versions of Pandora, feel free to check out this existing feature request. You can upvote ideas by searching for the title on the main feature request page and clicking on the icon next to the title of any given suggestion.

Is your head really wedged that far into the dark that you use the same reply to different questions? Where is a version of Pandora that will run on my ipad? It doesn't have to be the latest features as I'm just paying to listen to music. Or am I to believe that you don't care about your customers and that you are really just a bunch of scam artists, leeches, and idiots. Please don't patronize customers with canned responses. I will respect you more if you just say "I don't know" than the three responses you gave on this thread. Earn your paycheck and don't expect a free ride.

Is there any way to obtain legacy versions of the Pandora app? I have an Gen4 iPod Touch that I use strictly as a Pandora player in my workshop when connected to an old iHome iDN38 AM/FM/Dock/USB clock radio. The last OS for this device is iOS 6.1.6 and of course the current version of Pandora is not compatible. It would be great if I could find a way to use this again. Thanks.

Older iPod/iPhone/iPad and other iDevices CANNOT update the OS to iOS11. For example, the last compatible iOS for the iPod Touch v4 is 6.1, thus it is not possible to update the OS to iOS11 and therefore it is not possible to load Pandora on it anymore. Your suggestion to update to iOS 11 is not possible. One of my iPod Touch players has the older version, which was installed when it was current, but there appears to be no way to install legacy apps, particularly Pandora on the one that I recently purchased to use as a Pandora player. Pandora really needs to make legacy apps available for the older hardware.

I have been updating this file daily for the last few weeks. Today, when I open the file, Excel opens and shows me a much older version. Roughly 90% of my added data is not showing when I open the file.

Can you just clarify for me then where you are opening the file and seeing the outdated version? Is this via the website or another device, and which version do you see when accessing the file in both of these locations?

I was saving and opening the file into the Dropbox folder on my desktop. This is the way I have been using Dropbox between multiple devices for many years now, on a nearly daily basis. I have never had this happen.

However, I am just going to stop troubleshooting this. I was able to restore the version prior to the latest version, and I know what changes I made since then. So, I was able to get it back to where I needed it.

I searched for a while about how to do this, but I could only find solutions that would work if you installed the App before and it shows up on the "Purchases" page in iTunes or something like that. And this doesn't apply to this case.

This is unfortunately not going to help you with this app, as it does not sound like you had downloaded this app prior to this question, but it will help you in the event that you accidentally upgrade an app that will then no longer work with your version of iOS.

I just did this with the Phillips Hue app (compatible 8.0+) and using iOS 7.0.4. Basically, you download the app from the App Store in your computer. Then, find the app on your phone and instead of Get+ it should display the Cloud download. If the app has an older compatible version available, you should be able to install it. It worked for me!

Now, on your phone, go to the App Store and attempt to download from the cloud. You will be told that this version is not compatible and be offered an older version. Accept the offer and you will have a working version on your phone.Don't forget to backup when you are done.

The answer is not easy given, because if you follow the above Apple instruction, the ipa file would also be in the purchased list of the Appstore...In Mac iTunes 12.3.1 in my ElCapitan all (old and new) are in the same folder "Mobile Applications" folder, but each app the latest version that was once installed.

I have just learned that 1Password has stopped supporting iOS 15/iPhone 7 (no new 1Password 8 versions for iOS 15 from this point forward). Virtually every other 3rd party app out there still supports iOS 15, and Apple has continued to release security updates for iOS 15. I know many people still using iPhone 7 devices quite successfully.

On the vast majority of older versions of IOS (12.x and lower certainly) one is unable to download the Brave mobile app. Whether a bug or intentional policy this is a big problem. The app used to work for these older versions. 17dc91bb1f
