Unhook the LCD screen from the LCD display panel.
Remove the screws holding the LCD screen to the LCD display panel.
Unplug both video cables, as well as any other cables, that are connected to your laptop's frame (if applicable).
Lift up on one side of your display and disconnect it from its mounting bracket, if there is one installed (this can vary depending on where you bought your laptop).
Before you begin removing the screws, you need to know what type of screwdriver will be needed. There are different types of screws, and each one requires its own unique type of driver. Some are flat head, some require a phillips head screwdriver, and some require a Torx driver. If you don't have the right kind of screwdriver for your laptop screen replacement job then you won't be able to complete the task successfully!
To determine what kind of screwdrivers you'll need on hand before starting this repair project or any other type off computer repair work on your laptop computer or desktop PC hardware components such as: cpu fan replacement; video card replacement; power supply unit (PSU) fan replacement etc., just do an internet search engine query like "laptop hard drive removal guide" or "hard drive upgrade guide".
In order to replace the screen, you'll need to remove the old one.
Remove the screws that hold the screen in place by using a flat head screwdriver or something similar. This will allow you to push out two tabs on each side of your laptop's LCD that hold it in place. If you have an older laptop, these tabs may be hidden under stickers or other protective materials—in this case, use caution when removing those so as not to damage them and expose any exposed wires underneath (which could cause electrical problems).
Once you've removed all relevant screws, carefully lift up on both sides of your laptop's LCD and gently pull it out from its slot as though opening a book cover.*You should now be left with just a metal frame around where your old LCD used to be located.
Connect the new video cable to the replacement LCD screen, making sure it is plugged in correctly.

The flat cable is the one that connects the screen to the motherboard. You need to make sure that you put it in correctly or else, your screen will not function properly. It's best to use a flat cable holder when connecting these cables, especially if you are working with an older laptop that doesn't come equipped with them.
Before you buy a new screen, make sure that the model of your laptop is compatible with it. If it isn't, then you will need to get a new laptop instead. Check the screen size and resolution of your laptop using the information on its sticker (usually found at the bottom). It should match up with those of your replacement LCD screen.
Once you've removed the old screen, it's time to install your new one. You'll need a few things to make this process go smoothly:

The right parts
The right instructions
