Trimaginator allowed me to create the illusion of a hollow head for this girl, with fog passing in and out of her head. I used another image to blend in to create a light source to her right, consistent with the original illumination of the face.
I started with this photo from Pixabay, a source of copyright-free images.
In iColorama, I used Form/Warp to change the shape of her face (just drag your finger or stylus across the image to warp it). Then I used Brush/Paint, with white paint and a very small, hard round brush to paint in catchlights in the eyes. Then I applied Style/Flow preset 1 at low opacity to smooth the face.
I used iColorama's Style/ET-Flow to add a kind of woodblock texture to her face. I will now use this image the in Trimaginator app.
This is the result of using the Trimaginator app on the image. In Trimaginator, I used the Scaffolder rendering style with white lines (these are choices in Trimaginator's lower left corner), with Vertical Line Composition (one of the choices in Trimaginator's upper right corner).
I blended the girl on top of the Trimaginator image. I tried several blending modes, opacities and feature settings. I used the gray and lightness sliders under Set.
I used Adjust/Shadows preset 1, and increased the shadows slider. Then I used an inverted brush mask with a hard triangular brush to paint on the shadows on the left side of her face
In Effect/Blend, I blended the water image onto the girl. I tried several different placements and resizes of the top image. I tried several blending modes and used the opacity, feature and lightness sliders.
There was too much dead space at the top of the image, so I cropped it. The crop not only gets rid of some unattractive detail in the upper left, but it makes her eyes much more prominent.
I brightened the eyes by increasing exposure in Adjust/Exposure and used an inverted brush mask to paint in the effect only over the whites of the eyes and the catchlights. Then with the brush mask still in place, I used Adjust/Hue to slightly desaturate the whites of the eyes to remove some of the blue cast.
I applied Levels, Adjust/High preset 1, Adjust/High preset 2, all at low opacity, to increase contrast and heighten mood. I used a bit of Style/Flow to soften. I painted in some shadows in the neck area. Then I increased exposure in Adjust/Exposure and used an inverted brush mask to paint in some increased exposure in parts of the misty area in the left of the image.
