This image is a collaboration between Kjetil Eek Bergo and myself. I blended one of his photos with one of my photos to create a unique image.
I started with this beautiful image from Kjetil Eek Bergo.
I also used this photo I took at Lake Louise.
In iColorama, using Effect/Blend, I blend my photo on top of Kjetil's image, using one of the negative blend modes (difference, negation, exclusion), and using the Set sliders.
I cropped the image using Form/Crop.
In Effect/Blend, I blended back my photo on top of the composition, at the top of the image, using a brush mask.
I brightened the in Adjust/Levels and Adjust/EQ. I added a touch of Effect/Light to enhance the highlights. I used a touch of Adjust/Tonelab preset 4 for clarity and depth. I used Tone/Duotone and very low opacity to deepen the shadows with color. For finishing touches, I use a touch of Effect/Glow to smooth the highlights a bit, and a bit of Effect/Raise using a brush mask, to accentuate the ginkgo leaf.
