I warped a face for an eerie effect, then I added to that effect by blending with images of stones and water. The result is as if the face is floating under the sea.
I started with this photo from Pixabay, a source of copyright-free images. I like her unusual face, huge eyes and penetrating look.
In iColorama, I used Form/Warp to enlarge her forehead and eyes. I wanted her to fill more of the canvas. Then I used Adjust/Tonelab and Tone/Enhance to improve color and clarity.
In Effect/Blend, I blended in a recent photo I took on my iPhone. This gave her some interesting texture.
Here is the photo I blended in.
Again in Effect/Blend, I blended in a third image. This gave some blue color and a feeling of being under water.
Here is the image I blended in. It's my own photo, taken with a point and shoot camera, of the west coast of Florida.
Now I cropped.
I warped some more in Form/Warp. I enlarged her eyes, which will be the focus of the image, and shrunk her mouth.
For finishing touches, I used Adjust/Tonelab and Adjust/High to add contrast and highlights. I added some emphasis on detail using Effect/Sharpen and a touch of Effect/Raise.
