Reliable and free network scanner to analyze LAN. The program shows all network devices, gives you access to shared folders, provides remote control of computers (via RDP and Radmin), and can even remotely switch computers off. It is easy to use and runs as a portable edition. It should be the first choice for every network admin.

OK - I'll stop calling it address list. I have a list of names for scanning. I can't find out how to get to it and edit it - I don't want to create a new one. I want to edit a list of names already visible under the scan function on the printer/scanner. I can't find out how to edit the list from the device web interface.

SMB/FTP scan locations are done as File Repositories ala CWIS > Properties > Services > Network Scanning > File Repository Setup, this is where you would put a typical File server. When people go to the device to use these, they each typically have a named template that goes to these repositories, but maybe add a level, so the repository is a server at IP 10.10.10.1 and a share called userscans. Each person has a folder in userscans with their first name. So the repository goes to 10.10.10.1 and the folder userscans, the template points to the repository and adds the name.

Is it possible there is a special web address or tab I need from the web page to get to the admin login which might have that? I know the admin username and password. When I go to the IP of the scanner it does not ask for it - it just gets me directly on the printer/scanner. Many brands have a special web admin login accessible in the top right of the web page of the device.

To my knowledge there is what I linked (which is for scanning and email, you just put in different spots) or LDAP address book for network scanning. That address book is not stored locally on device. It's a couple of pages above in linked documentation.

I recently took a new position with a company that uses Canon network copiers. Until now, all of my copier experience was with brand 'X' and I am at a loss for finding out how to change the sender when scanning to email.

Hi Errol!

Welcome to the Canon Forums and thanks for posting!

Canon does not provide direct support for imageRUNNER series products, but your dealer will be able to help you! If you don't have a dealer, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) and we will be happy to provide you with the names of dealers who are in your area!

I know that this original post was two years ago, but in case anyone else runs into this issue and would rather fix this on their own, I'll share what I know. Through a great amount of fiddling, I have fixed my email address sending on behalf of an old email address.

Depending on how clear and full the scanned address is, Route4Me can suggest one or multiple address options. Next, you can adjust the scanned address and add more stop information such as additional address details (i.e., floor, apartment, etc.), Alias, Phone Number, Stop Type, and Visit Duration (Service Time).

To adjust the OCR address scanner settings on your Android Route Planner app, launch the scanner. Next, tap on the settings icon and then select the preferred scanning mode. When using the Manual Scanning Mode, point your camera at the address and tap the capture button once the address is recognized. When using the Automatic Scanning Mode, point your camera at the address and hold until the address is automatically recognized and captured.

To display the address book, tap the [Address Book] key on the base screen in image send mode such as fax, e-mail, or Internet fax. You can also display it by tapping the [Address Book] icon in the home screen. "Contacts" and "Group" registered are enabled for alphabetical search and selected condition-based advanced search.

Tap to display a search screen. Select a target for search, enter a keyword and then tap the [Search Start] key. The search results are listed.

For example, if [Item] is [Name], search with a keyword "SH" lists contacts and groups starting with "SH".

I've been trying to follow this guide to get my lcd working on Arduino Uno, I'm using an I2C converter.

The LCD turns on and everything, however when I run the scanner sketch, it just stays on "Scanning..." and no results are given.

I've connected my Uno with a short usb cable and the 4 pins from I2C converter to Arduino are about 25CM. I read that on long wires I'll need to use pull up resistors for each wire, but I'm not sure how exactly it should be connected? If somebody could give me a fritzing that shows how it should be connected, I'd really appreciate it. I'm new to Arduino!

Edit: I just found this wiki ( -info.wikispaces.com/LCD-Blue-I2C#v1 ), according to the photos there my lcd's address should be either 0x27 or 0x3F. I tried both with their sketch (already have the new library) and nothing was printed on the lcd.

Also at the end of the page, there's a table that says if none of the A0 A1 A2 jumpers are connected (like mine), the address should be 0x27. That doesn't work though...

What does the scanner program give you with nothing connected to the I2C lines. If it hangs, there is a problem with the arduino. If it says no devices found, then there is most likely a short between SDA and SCL or between either one of them and ground or to 5v on the i2c adaptor.

I am having problems reading the data that my scanner takes, it is connected via MODBUS and in Ignition it tells me that it is connected but when trying to read it through a tag it is difficult for me to write its address.

The presence of sequence numbers in the address table suggests that you might have to perform some acknowledgement handshake (writes to other addresses) to get the next buffered item to show up. Link to the manual, please?

OK. You do need a handshake. Also, you need to be looking for your scan data in the Fragment Data section, HRS9:450. After reading any particular scan/fragment combination, you need to echo HR5 & HR6 over to HR236 and HR237. That tells the scanner to load the next item, if already scanned, into the input buffer. (Input is to you, Output is to the scanner.)

Not an Evernote user? No problem. You may prefer the ScanBizCards app. The free version will work just fine for this project. The steps are very similar to that above. If you are an Android user, this is a great way to get your addresses into your Google contacts, which you are probably already using to sync across devices.

Hello everyone I am working with my very first UNO and sensor. My sensor is a breakout bme680 sensor. I am unable to get my sensor to properly work so I began what I thought would be basic troubleshooting. I have wired the bme680 in an I2C configuration. I wanted to make sure my I2C address was correct so I found this I2C scanning sketch:

What does the scanner program give you with nothing connected to the I2C lines. If it hangs, there is a problem with the arduino. If it says no devices found, then there is most likely a short between SDA and SCL or between either one of them and ground or to 5v on the module.

You can also register e-mail addresses in the address book using Web Image Monitor or SmartDeviceMonitor for Admin. For details about how to display Web Image Monitor or install SmartDeviceMonitor for Admin, see "Monitoring and Configuring the Printer", Network and System Settings Guide. For details about registering addresses in the address book, see Web Image Monitor or SmartDeviceMonitor Help.

You can create Address Book contacts using the Embedded Web Server. A contact is a user with an associated email address, fax number, or scan to destination. If a contact has been set up to include a scan to destination, the contact is available for selection in the Scan To App. Contacts can be marked as a Favorite.

I have noticed that on the Ricoh IM models, the address used for SMTP authentication now shows as the from address on scan to emails. On the older models the from address always showed as the admin email that was entered in the file transfer settings. Does anyone know how to change it so that the from address always shows as the admin email? I have some customers complaining that people are replying to the address on the emails which is not always the correct sender.

I do not know when they changed this or if this is an issue with any other models. I have only recently noticed it when setting up new machines. I have gone through the manual and the only thing it says is that "If specified sender is ON, the sender will be shown as the administrator email'. This is not true from what I have witnessed, specifically with the IM series.

I expect that this is more likely to be result of the email provider over writing the from address that is being used to send the email than an issue with the copier. This is done by service providers to ensure users aren't sending emails as if they were from other users, and usually needs to be done that way if the from address is in another domain. If you're using Google Workspace then I expect this is caused by the way Google Workspace works.

Essentailly as Martin alludes, email services today want the sender address/User to match the authentication address/User. How the MFP handles this varies but typically the 2 elements exist in different places but must match. So there is one field for the 'Sender Address' and one for the "SMTP Authentication account" and used as default. 17dc91bb1f
