IP Guard is a Chrome extension designed to help users check their public IP address, location, ISP, and connection type. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains clearly what data is and is not collected when you use IP Guard.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect
IP Guard does NOT collect, store, share, or transmit any of the following:
• Your IP address
• Your location (country, city)
• Your ISP or connection type
• Any personally identifiable information
• Browsing history or web activity
• Clicks, keystrokes, or user behavior
• Device information
• Any analytics or telemetry data

3. How the Extension Works
When you click "Check IP Now", IP Guard sends a request directly from your browser to trusted third-party public IP lookup APIs to retrieve your IP information. This request is made by your browser directly — IP Guard does not act as a middleman or proxy, and does not store or log the response in any way.
The following trusted public APIs may be used:
• https://api.ipify.org
• https://ipapi.co
• https://ipinfo.io
• https://freeipapi.com
Please refer to each API provider's own privacy policy for information on how they handle requests.

4. No Local Storage
IP Guard does not use browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, cookies, or Chrome's storage API) to save any user data. All information displayed in the extension is temporary and disappears when the popup is closed.

5. No Third-Party Tracking
IP Guard does not include any third-party tracking scripts, analytics libraries, or advertising SDKs. No data is shared with any third party by the extension itself.

6. Permissions
IP Guard requests only the minimum permissions necessary to function:
• Host permissions to the IP lookup APIs listed above — required to fetch your IP information directly from your browser.
No other permissions are requested or used.

8. Children's Privacy
IP Guard does not collect any data from any users, including children under the age of 13. The extension is safe for all ages.
