The goals of the National Grange Youth Development department include providing leadership training through a variety of opportunities such as: Regional Conferences, Ambassador or Young Patron Program, John Trimble Legislative Experience, the DC Experience, mentoring programs, and many other leadership building programs.
Individual life skills are developed through the Achievement Award Program which offers opportunities for exploration in public speaking, communication (Sign-A-Song and Foreign Language), critical thinking, mentoring, and career exploration.

Three of Iowa's youth were selected to be on the Youth Officer Team at the 158th National Grange Convention in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Rachel Edelen was the Youth President.
Jordyn Loiselle was the Youth Assistant Steward, and wrote and directed the opening drill.
Sarah Jacoby was the Youth Pomona.

Three of Iowa's youth were selected to be on the Youth Officer Team at the 156th National Grange Convention in Sparks, Nevada.
Samantha Hanson was the Youth Lady Assistant Steward, as well as wrote and directed the closing drill.
Jordyn Moyes was the Youth Secretary.
Rachel Edelen was the Youth Treasurer.
2021-2022
Emma Edelen was selected as the 2021-2022 Outstanding Young Patron. She was able to attend the DC Experience in Washington DC and learned more about how the legislative side of the Grange works as well as participate in lobbying and advocacy. She was also able to attend the Great Plains and Midwest Regional Conferences In Kansas and in Iowa where she was able to network and present a teambuilding workshop.
