KEYNOTE "Recent Advancements in AI Applications for Smart Cities" by Prof. Yeo Chai Kiat
Abstract: AI and IoT are two of the most transformative technologies of our time. IoT is considered as one of the foundational infrastructures to support AI applications in smart cities given its data collection, integration, real-time monitoring and control abilities. This talk will cover recent examples of how AI is being applied in Singapore as well as discuss some of our recent works in using AI to improve our infrastructure and services.
Chai Kiat YEO is an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. She is currently the Deputy Director of Singtel Cognitive land Artificial Intelligence Lab for Enterprises@NTU (SCALE@NTU) and the Programme Director for the research theme on Condition based Maintenance. She is also the Assistant Chair (Faculty) of SCSE. She received her BEng and MSc degrees from the National University of Singapore and her PhD degree from NTU. Her research interests are in anomaly detection, predictive analytics, machine learning and mobile adhoc networks
